brahma satyam jagan-mithyä jivo brahmaiva näparah ||

Objective : Great gurus of yore have maintained that the scriptures are the sole pramana or the source of true self-knowledge. In the Adisankara adult study group, parents of balavihar and adult members of Vidhya Deepam get together and engage in Shravanam – listening to lectures of Guru’s and Acharyas, and Mananam – reflection and group discussions.
As a group, we choose from various topics comprising Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, Prakara granthas (foundational texts), and books by Advaita philosophy masters. The last couple of years – the group has study books like:
Drig Drsya Viveka
Bhagavad Gita
Tattva Bodha and
Bhaja Govindam.
