A typical day at VidhyaDeepam is designed to keep kids and adults engaged with a variety of activities.
We gather into the main temple hall for beginning prayers and Guru Stotram – where we extoll the lineage of Guru’s (Guru Parampara) of the Advaitic tradition who have showed us the way.
This is followed by chanting a few verses from the Srimad Bhagavad Gita so all of us can learn to chant with the right pronunciation and diction.
Next, we take one of the story from Epic(Ramayana/Mahabharatha) or from Upanishads. During this time there is also a small section where we introduce kids to Bharath and it’s spiritual, geographical and political history.
We wrap up the opening session with a Aarati, and then break out into age-based classes.
