Our organization name is Vidhya Deepam EIN 82-3194525. We are a Washington State Non-Profit and a Federal 501 (c) (3) tax exempt non profit.

We are set up for matching through major employers such as Microsoft and Boeing. If you do not find us through your employer please let us know and we will help.

Donation Matching

Your membership dues cover Vedanta studies and community events. The community events portion of your dues (50%) is generally eligible for matching. Please consult your employer’s guidelines and proceed accordingly.

For example: You paid dues of $400, you may submit a match request of $200.

Hours Matching

The hours you spend on community service (seva) through Vidhya Deepam may also be eligible for matching. If this is the case, please keep track of the time you spend on seva and submit the match request accordingly. Time spent on Vedanta education is generally not eligible for matching.

For example: You spent time on the following activities.

Assisting the teacher in your child’s class – 2 hours

Volunteering at Northwest Harvest – 4 hours

Cleaning up the temple after an event – 3 hours

Organizing the summer picnic – 4 hours

You can submit a match for 11 hours (the 2 hours helping in your child’s class is not eligible).

Deadlines

Each employer has a different set of deadlines for match requests. If possible, please submit the match request in a timely fashion so you do not miss the deadline. Some employers have an end of the calendar year cutoff. Others require that matches be submitted within a certain number of months after the service is performed.
