Adults 18+ · Adult study group
Objective
Great gurus of yore have maintained that the scriptures are the sole pramana or the
source of true self-knowledge.
Parents of Balavihar students and adult members of Vidhya Deepam meet for Shravanam
(listening to lectures by gurus and acharyas). Mananam, or reflection and group
discussion, is the other part of the group's work.
Topics are chosen from the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, foundational prakarana
texts and books by Advaita masters. In recent years the group has studied Drig Drsya
Viveka, Bhagavad Gita, Tattva Bodha and Bhaja Govindam.
